TOM KAVANAGH
Tom is one of Ireland's leading insolvency experts, having carried out many high profile assignments over the years, including many on the instructions of Ireland's major Financial Institutions, Companies and State Agencies. Tom's main area of focus is in the area of Receiverships, Examinerships, and Turnarounds.
Tom holds a BComm from UCD and trained in Deloitte & Touche. Tom is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) and holds a UK Insolvency Licence. He is a Member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners.
Tom was the author of "A Practical Guide to Insolvency" published by CAI in Autumn 2009 and lectures on the CAI Diploma in Insolvency and in other courses for the CAI. Tom was also a presenter on insolvency at 2010 annual conferences for both CAI and the Institute of Taxation

KEN FENNELL
Ken has worked in the insolvency field for the past 20 years and is recognised as one of Ireland's leading insolvency professionals with in excess of 300 insolvency appointments. Ken has worked on a wide variety of assignments in both the large and SME business sectors and is an advisor to Ireland's leading banks on distressed businesses and to major trading Companies in distress.
Ken is a Member of the Institute of Accounting Technicians of Ireland (IATI). Ken is also a Member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners (ISIP) and an Affiliate of Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI). Ken is a regular presenter on insolvency related seminars and a commentator on insolvency matters in national press and on radio.

DAVID VAN DESSEL
David has worked in Insolvency and Corporate Recovery for over 15 years and has taken Receivership, Court Liquidations and Creditors' Voluntary Liquidation Assignments.In addition to Insolvency and Corporate Recovery assignments, David specialises in Forensic Accounting and Members' Voluntary Liquidation, which both require a keen eye for detail.
David is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), having been admitted as a Member in 1998 and is a Business Graduate of Trinity College, Dublin. David is a member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners (ISIP). David trained in the Corporate Recovery Department of Deloitte & Touche. During this time, David specialised on various Corporate Recovery Assignments, which involved the management and sale of companies that had hit a cash crisis.

MÍCHEÁL LEYDON
Mícheál graduated from University College Dublin in 1998 with an honours degree in commerce. Míchaél joined kavanaghfennell in 1998 where he completed his training contract with the Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) and was admitted as a Member in 2002. Mícheál is also a Member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners (ISIP) and ISIP Law Reform Committee.
Mícheál has over 13 years insolvency and corporate recovery experience. He has worked on various corporate insolvency projects under Irish Company Law to include in excess of 700 separate insolvencies and is involved in a number of personal and partnership insolvencies. Mícheál was the internal editor and co-author of "A Practical Guide to Insolvency" published by CAI in Autumn 2009 and regularly presents insolvency and corporate recovery seminars.

KENNETH TYRRELL
Kenneth graduated from Dublin City University with an honours degree in Accounting & Finance in 2002 and in 2003 with a Masters in Business Studies in Accounting. Kenneth joined kavanaghfennell in 2003 where he completed his training contract with the Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) and was admitted as a Member in 2006. Kenneth is also a Member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners (ISIP).
Kenneth has over 7 years insolvency, corporate recovery and restructuring experience. Kenneth's key areas of expertise are Examinerships, Receiverships, Court Liquidations and Corporate Restructuring Projects. Kenneth has a proven ability in dealing with both distressed businesses and individuals. Kenneth was co-author of "A Practical Guide to Insolvency" published by CAI in Autumn 2009 and lecturers on the CAI Diploma in Insolvency.

GLENN BRADLEY
Glenn joined kavanaghfennell in June 2010 and specialises in providing business and debt advisory services to enterprises, individuals and lenders. He holds significant experience in the areas of business analysis, debt structuring and project finance.
Glenn previously worked as a Senior Manager at AIB and over his 14 years in business lending with the bank gained a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of business, capital structure and cash flow management.
Glenn is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), holds a BComm from UCD and an MBA from the UCD Smurfit School of Business.

ANDREW BYRNE
Andrew joined kavanaghfennell in 2004. Andrew previously worked in the Corporate Recovery Department of Deloitte & Touche. Andrew is an Associate of the Institute Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (ICSA) and is a Member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners (ISIP).

NOIRIN HASSETT
Noirin holds an honours degree in European Business Studies. Noirin joined kavanaghfennell in February 2010. Noirin previously worked in corporate recovery, insolvency and restructuring prior to joining kavanaghfennell. Noirin was admitted as a Member of the Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) in 2008. KATRINA MEAGHER
Katrina holds an honours degree in Engineering. Katrina joined kavanaghfennell in 2009. Katrina previously worked in Audit prior to joining kavanaghfennell. Katrina was admitted as a Member of the Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) in 2009. Katrina is also a Member of the the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners (ISIP).

EDEL RYAN
Edel holds an honours Masters of Science in Financial Services and an honours degree in Economics, Law, French and Sociology. Edel joined kavanaghfennell in 2009 and is a finalist with the Irish Taxation Institute. Edel previously worked in personal tax prior to working with kavanaghfennell. Edel is also a member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners (ISIP).
Edel's area of expertise is Capital Distribution Services / Members' Voluntary Liquidations.
Edel is also involved in the recruitment function of kavanaghfennell.

HUGO SLEVIN
Hugo holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Accounting and joined kavanaghfennell in 2008. Hugo is currently completing his training contract with the Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI). Hugo is also a member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners (ISIP).
Hugo has 3 years insolvency and corporate recovery experience.
